My name is Sienna and I am so happy to be the 2023-2024 Herstorian for Hermanas Unidas de UCSC. On this website you can find more about our events, who we are, and what we do! We strive to provide a welcoming and safe space for Latine students on campus and hope you'll consider joining us :)
About HAU
Mission Statement
Hermanas Unidas provides graduate and professional resources and leadership opportunities for predominantly Chicanx/Latinx college students and alumni by participating in and organizing community service, collegial networking, retention, recruiting, and academic/professional development events and workshops.
Three Governing Pillars
Academics
Through study rooms and academic support, we empower one another to succeed and thrive in our classes. We provide academic activities that foster a safe and empowering environment for hermanas to support each other’s educational journey.
Community Service
We strive to give back to our UCSC community and wider Santa Cruz community through a number of community service opportunities.
Social Networking
We aim to foster a community of Latine students on campus. Social activities provide a familial environment that facilitates opportunities for esteem building, peer advising, and mentoring!
